Once in a while, I will film something so awe inspiring that it really was a privilege to have witnessed it.  Such was the case with musician Usifu Jalloh's dance troupe, 'Maambena'. Performing at De Bees Music Bar on the 9th April as part of an all day Fairtrade charity concert, this dance troupe's musicianship was of the highest quality.  The whole gig was sublime.  A particular highlight for me was the playing of the 'Kora' by virtuoso musician Jaly. I have included this clip as it seemed to me to encompass everything about Maambena's approach to music: Life Affirming, Spiritual, Joyful and childlike (without ever being childish). Music devoid of ego.  Pure music for the soul and the heart.
