I have to say that myself and mate Rob were so lucky to have played on the same acoustic night as The Dukes of Portland at De Bees Music Bar. It gave us both the chance to watch and appreciate this acoustic duo. Normally a five piece band, tonight singer Henry and bassist Ben prove to be a very formidable double act. They are both outstanding musicians. Henry's wonderful falsetto-like vocals and guitar playing aid and abet some brilliant songwriting whilst Ben's subtle technique on the bass really adds depth and harmony without ever stifling that human heartbeat ticking within every song. They are an outstanding act. Gotta see 'em!
