I really love the acoustic nights at De Bees Music Bar. There is a real quality about them. The musicianship and songwriting is of the highest calibre. Tonight was no exception. Paul Handyside (ex of Hurrah!) together with Rob Tickell on Weissenborn slide guitar produced one of the best acoustic nights I have seen at De Bees for a long time. The songs were beautifully performed with an effortless grace enshrined in them. Paul's songs have a resonance about them which certainly connected with tonight's audience who were completely knocked out by the sheer brilliance of it all. It was great to speak to Paul and Rob after the gig - they were both great blokes - down to earth and very friendly. Keep on twangin' boys!
