Over time, Videotapes will deteriorate. The magnetic particles that make up your precious memories are constantly being eroded through a combination of heat and humidity or through improper handling and storage. All of these conditions place a heavy toll on the condition of your VHS tapes. However, by converting that old footage now into a digital format, you can stop this decay, and with our remastering service, actually improve the quality of the picture and sound of your tapes.

I start by capturing your footage into our film remastering hardware system using Time Base Correction. This removes any jitters from fluctuating video signals to deliver a stable picture even with old tapes.

After completion, I will then look for and edit out any unwanted 'dead' footage and then tidy up your film by applying colour correction filters to enhance the overall look of your footage. I can then clean up the audio by removing any excessive noise or hiss from your tape. Finally, a DVD menu will be added with chapters and text titles to add the finishing touches to your video.

For additional DVD's, for friends or relative, there will be a fee of £3 each.
